Duradek is a tough vinyl decking material which provides a waterproof membrane that can be applied to new or existing surfaces. RSE Exteriors Ltd. is a registered dealer and installer for Duradek.
The Duradek line is available in a wide range of colors and patterns. It can be applied to a new or existing surface and can be enjoyed immediately as it requires no curing time.
No regular maintenance required except cleaning. It protects the structure of your home by preventing water infiltration.

General Cleaning

Your vinyl deck should be cleaned at least four times per year (more often if acid rain or airborne pollution is a problem in your area) using the Duradek vinyl cleaner available from your authorized contractor. Follow the directions on the label. This cleaner is designed for vinyl and will not leave harmful chemical residue like many household cleaners may. Use warm water and a stiff broom, scrubbing in a circular motion to loosen the dirt. Spray with a garden hose (under pressure) to wash away the loose dirt. Flush thoroughly with clean water.

Warranty

Duradek Ultra comes with a 10-year waterproofing warranty that has 3 levels of protection – Waterproofing, Appearance and Workmanship.

FAQ:

Q – Can I purchase Duradek and install it myself?
A – No, Duradek is not a DIY product. Duradek is installed by a network of fully trained applicators. They are trained in waterproofing techniques and building codes to ensure you are getting the best quality installation available. For this reason we are able to offer the industries best warranty.

Q – Do I need to use a specific kind of wood to have Duradek installed?
A – A properly prepared subsurface using sanded (untreated) plywood will give the best-finished surface possible. We recommend 3/4” T & G untreated plywood for the flattest subsurface for your vinyl deck covering.

Q – Does Duradek require a specific slope?
A – For the best product performance and enjoyment of your vinyl deck surface, the deck subsurface should be sloped ideally at a minimum of 2% to eliminate ponding water.

Q – Can I use a shovel on my Duradek?
A – Duradek easily withstands even the harshest winter conditions and common methods of snow and ice removal. It is fine to use a snow shovel, just be sure it is a plastic edged shovel – not a metal edge.

Q – How long will my Duradek last?
A – With proper care and cleaning your Duradek deck could last up to 15-20 years.
